Daily our LORD brings strength to our family as we travel through the valley of the 'shadow' of death. I see it only as a shadow for as eternal beings created in the image of God, we will not die, but live eternally. For those who have chosen the way of the cross, God has promised eternal life through Jesus Christ our LORD. For those who have rejected His merciful gift of forgiveness for sin, for all who have chosen any other way except through the cross there awaits an eternal life separated from the goodness of God.

As I heard the following, I internalized the words thinking they were specific to our current journey.  I share them now praying they will bring healing and hope to you and strength for your journey.  LORD bless. aw

"Child, you have chosen to trust Me in great heartache, anguish and despair. I AM is with you all the way, continue to trust, rejoicing in the love of your Abba Father. The days will be short when all will be tried as if by fire. You have been chosen, prepared for such a time as this.

Your light shines brightly, My lamp of love is a beacon for many. You don't see it, but I AM sees and is a rewarder of My faithful ones. Peeks and valleys must be walked before the end comes. You are safe with Me.  I love you daughter ( or son), you belong to Me."

"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever." Psalm 23

  3. Ali,
The words you share resonate. I've heard similar. Our Lord is good and he blesses those who seek him. I pray mamy more lost sheep hear his voice prior to the Last Trumpet.
    Shalom,

  4. If you don't mind my asking Ali, what is going on in your life that is so dreadful right now? I've walked through a couple of those very dark valleys and KNOW the Lord is faithful and will bring you through with great grace and comfort. And boy-oh-boy will He shower blessings down on you if you'll cling to Him, and refuse to stop praising and loving Him despite your circumstances! I want to pray for you, but I don't know what to pray for.

    1. I will never stop praising my LORD, nor clinging to Him. There is hope, peace and strength in none other.

Our daughter is in hospice care, terminally ill with cancer in her brain and spine. Your prayers are appreciated. LORD bless.

  5. I'm not sure if my first reply went through, so here goes another try. Thanks for sharing your circumstances with us. I am a hospice RN and lost my Dad to brain cancer, so I'm very familiar with what your family is dealing with. Your trust and praise of the Lord in the midst of unspeakable sorrow is a sparkling jewel in our Savior's crown. I know He is so very proud of you! You and your family are in my prayers.
