Things I have learned this past month.

Dig Deeper:  Too many are using a plastic spoon to dig for the treasures found in His Word when we should be using a backhoe.

All conflicts, trials, illness, sorrows, sufferings, sadness, grief, pain... all come through the hand of God [remember Job here] in order that we might be conformed to the image of His Son.  God cares little if we are happy, healthy or at peace with our world. What He does care about is that we are transformed into the image of His Son and it is only through the valley of the shadow of death will we arrive at this desired destination.

All healing comes from God. Doctors treat the illness, medicine controls the pain but neither can heal. God and God alone heals.

God heals in His time, in His way. The Name and Claim crowd says, 'blab it and grab it.' But I have learned through much suffering this is not always the will of God.

Could He chose to heal without the aid of doctors or medicine, YES. Does He? NOT often.  The question then is: "WHY?"  Without the trials and tribulations in our lives we would be an inch deep and a mile wide.  Our faith shallow at best; our witness non-existant.

About two months ago, I asked God to humble me, to remove anything in me that was not pleasing to Him - OUCH.!!. The past two weeks have been difficult as I have struggled to regain my strength after major surgery - still have a long way to go, but I am digging deeper, this time using a backhoe. Smiling through my pain, giving praises through my tears. I have learned the hard way not to presume to limit my God in the way He chooses to deal with me His child and to accept all adversity that comes into my life as a stepping stone that leads me to become more like my God and my King.

Amazing Grace, How sweet the sound,  That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost, but now am found, was blind but now I see.

"Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God's wrath comes on those who are disobedient." Ephesians 5:6

As the number of murders of innocent babies in the womb [who seemingly have no civil rights] climbs to 55 million, as Prop. 8 is overthrown in California, as the word G-d is taken out of the insignia of the USAF due to atheist grumblers, as gay marriage ravages the nation - THIS is the headline of the day:

'Chalk up another PR coup for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. The animal rights group is grabbing headlines once again — this time with a lawsuit naming five killer whales as plaintiffs, and arguing that the marine mammals deserve the same constitutional protection from "slavery" as people. Are whales really entitled to human rights? Here, a brief guide to this unusual civil rights case:

Who are PETA and the whales suing? SeaWorld.

The whales named in the lawsuit — Tilikum, Katina, Corky, Kasatka, and Ulises — perform at SeaWorld's Orlando and San Diego locations. PETA says that by keeping orcas in captivity, the marine park is violating the U.S. Constitution's 13th Amendment, which abolished slavery and involuntary servitude.'

May God have mercy on this once great nation.

"... they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils, And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood. Thus were they defiled with their own works, and went a whoring with their own inventions." Psalms 106:37-39

Life News Reports:

'Activists count back to the January 1973 decision in Roe v. Wade and produce new calculations on how many lives have been ended prematurely through the deliberate choice of their mothers—often with the enthusiastic cooperation of medical professionals who have found their own ways of reconciling the destruction of life with their Hippocratic oath. The latest figures tell us that a number roughly equivalent to the population of California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, and Arizona have been murdered in the name of free choice - a woman' right.

Chemistry is rapidly trumping mechanics, as the efficiency of the abortionists grows. Planned Parenthood is making new fortunes in blood money [with the financial support of such organizations as the Susan G. Komen Foundation] through the increasingly widespread use of “tele-med” abortions, which negate the presence or participation of medical staff. An expectant mother simply steps into a room, confirms to a doctor via a video chat her determination to abort, follows his directions to press a specific button, and – voila! – a drawer pops open with two pills inside.

“Take one now and one tomorrow,” the doctor says. No muss, no fuss … no baby.!.'

"...the percentage of Christians in America has been steadily declining. ...what 'Christianity' means to American Christians today is often far different from what 'Christianity' meant to their parents and their grandparents. Millions upon millions of Christians in the United States simply do not believe many of the fundamental principles of the Christian faith any longer.

All the more, let's pray that God will prepare us to stand firm on His Word through this time of change and new challenges."  Berit Kjos/Crossroads

"...as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased [depraved] mind, to do those things which are not fitting; ...sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness... envy, murder, strife, deceit..." Romans 1:18-32

“Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.” 1 Corinthians 15:33

Tim Tebow has canceled an appearance at a revival organized by  controversial Ohio preacher Rod Parsley.

The Denver Broncos quarterback and dedicated Christian had been scheduled to speak at a three-day Columbus event in March led by the televangelist.

Tim’s brother Robbie said in a phone interview that he was canceling the talk. Robbie Tebow said his brother’s speakers’ bureau had not researched the event before saying yes to the invitation.

Parsley teaches that God wants the faithful to be rich. Last year, he asked followers to donate more than $1 million to ward off satanic attacks.

Parsley’s gathering is called “Contending for the Faith Weekend.” Texas televangelist Kenneth Copeland, who also preaches the prosperity gospel, is another featured speaker, according to the event website.

May all who call themselves 'christian' follow the example of this young man and stand up for the Truth only found in His Word.
