Do not be anxious about your life." (Matthew 6:25)

"Why do we worry? Because we don't believe. We're not really convinced the same Jesus who can keep a sparrow in the air knows where our lost luggage is, or how we'll pay that car repair bill. Or if we believe he can deliver us through our difficulties, we doubt if he will. We let Satan sow seeds of doubt in our minds about God's love and care for us.

The great antidote to anxiety is to come to God in prayer about everything.

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7).

Nothing's too big for him to handle or too small to escape his attention. Paul said we're to come to God "with thanksgiving." We should thank him for his past faithfulness in delivering us from troubles. We should thank him for the fact that he's in control of every circumstance of our lives and that nothing can touch us that he doesn't allow. We should thank him that in his infinite wisdom he's able to work in this circumstance for our good. We can thank him that he won't allow us to be tempted beyond what we can bear (1 Corinthians 10:13).

The promised result is not deliverance, but the peace of God. One of the reasons we don't find this peace is that all too often we won't settle for anything other than deliverance from the trouble. But God, through Paul, promises us peace, a peace that is unexplainable. It will guard our hearts and minds against the anxiety to which you and I are so prone."

According to the Investigative Project On Terrorism, The Islamic Society of North America , ISNA "is one of America’s most prominent and active Muslim organizations.

While it enjoys a generally positive public image from its religious endeavors and huge annual conference, ISNA’s extremist origins and continuing ideological support for radicalism make it an inappropriate partner for government outreach.

As the information detailed in this report will show, ISNA’s ideology has been rooted in radicalism since its foundation.

Among the findings:

ISNA remains an unindicted co-conspirator in the Hamas-support prosecution of
the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development (HLF), despite its appeals
to the court to remove that status.

ISNA was created by members of the Muslim Brotherhood – a radical Egyptian
movement that seeks to spread Shariah law globally – in the U.S. Many of those
founders remain in leadership positions with ISNA.

It invites controversial speakers to its nationwide conferences, including some of
the world famous Islamists and advocates of Jihad.

Speakers at ISNA conferences make radical statements, often in contradiction of
ISNA’s cultivated public image.

Rick Warren seems to take pride in his participation in the ISNA national conference.

Under the Islamic theocratic rule of sharia, a non muslim living in a jihad conquered land is considered a "dhimmi" , that is, subject to sharia law.

Warren is either a dhimmi and doesn't know it or useful idiot. Or both.

Pink Cross Publishing, the same company that published a gay-friendly version of the Koran, stated that they were adding the finishing touches to the newly revised Bible. Mary and Joseph will be replaced by Mary and Josephine, a lesbian couple unable to have children the conventional way, hence the virgin birth of Jesus. All of Jesus’ disciples will be gay except for Judas.

In the new Bible, all of the disciples will pair off after the Last Supper with the exception of Judas. Satan will also be straight. The new gay-friendly Bible has yet to be named.

A companion workbook for children will also be available for use in Sunday schools. With input from newly defrocked priests, a Catholic version of the gay-friendly Bible will be published by year end.

Romans 1 reminds us:

"For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.

Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen"

My friend Berit Kjos, on her website writes:

'Popular emergent Pastor Rob Bell has a unique ability to make God's Truth sound dubious as well as detestable. Then, having raised doubts about our holy God, he offers comforting counterfeits that fit today's quest for unity and community.

In the Preface of his new book, Love Wins, Pastor Bell describes the current clash between Biblical Christianity and today's postmodern, pluralistic values. Guess which side he has chosen:

"I’ve written this book for all those, everywhere, who have heard some version of the Jesus story that caused their pulse rate to rise, their stomach to churn, and their heart to utter those resolute words, 'I would never be a part of that.'

You are not alone. There are millions of us...A staggering number of people have been taught that a select few Christians will spend forever in a peaceful, joyous place called heaven, while the rest of humanity spends forever in torment and punishment in hell with no chance for anything better.... This is misguided and toxic and ultimately subverts the contagious spread of Jesus' message of love, peace, forgiveness, and joy..." [Preface]

Bell's arrogance reminds me of the tempter's seductive message in Genesis 3. There we see Satan in the form of a serpent whose main purpose is to block God's plan, twist His Truth, and deceive His people. Notice how deviously he twisted God's guidelines:

"Now the serpent...said to the woman, Has God indeed said..."

Mocking the true Church as narrow and offensive, Bell promotes alternatives that resemble the vision of the sixties. His popular heresies are fast luring seekers away from God's Truth to a new kind of "gospel."

"...there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies... and will bring the way of truth into disrepute." 2 Peter 2:1-9

Bell seems to pick from the Bible whatever fits his values, then blends the truths with heresies that sound reasonable to those who don't know God's Word. The result is a corrupted message that feels right to a world that's fast trading God's absolutes for an evolving social gospel.

This is spiritual warfare! And we need to be prepared for the rising spiritual war on God's Word.

Remember this warning:

"...we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day..." Ephesians 6:12-13
