"The Holy Spirit of God leads, guides and provides the strength you will need for the days coming upon you. He stands prepared to guide those who follow Me into truth. But...
He is grieved for many care not to hear His still small voice. None will give the time to be still that He may speak. Your lives have become accustomed to the noises of the world. You cannot hear, you cannot follow where I lead.
Recognize the danger is great, but I AM is greater. Waters rage, calamity comes yet millions continue in rebellion and disobedience to Me. Danger approaches. Do you see, do you hear? The mighty advance against the redeemed of the LORD to bring confusion and doubt drawing them further and further away from truth. My children have been given all they need to be victorious in battle, but many will perish for lack of knowledge.
Children declare My goodness. Do not conform to the debauchery of your nation. Cleave to Me, desire to follow your God, regardless of the cost; follow Where I lead you.
'Be not dismayed whate'er betide, God will take care of you! Beneath His wings of love abide, God will take care of you! God will take care of you, Through every day o'er all the way; He will take care of you; God will take care of you...'lyrics by: Civilla D. Martin, 1866-1945
You have no need to fear." (In my spirit I then heard, "marshals ride, lock down") followed by...
"Trouble on every side, but you are sheltered in the arms of God. Safe and secure, move ahead. Did I not say 'take up your cross and follow Me?'
Reflect and reconsider. Reconsider the cost of the cross."
"However, they did not all heed the good news; for Isaiah says, "LORD, WHO HAS BELIEVED OUR REPORT?" So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ." Romans 10:16-17
"Thus says the LORD, "Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind and makes flesh his strength, and whose heart turns away from the LORD." Jeremiah 17:5
"In God, whose word I praise, in God I have put my trust; I shall not be afraid. What can mere man do to me?" Psalm 56:4
"And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said unto them, if any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. and whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple. For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him, saying, this man began to build, and was not able to finish. Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand? Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and desireth conditions of peace. So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple." Luke 14:25-33

I so long for times of quiet and stillness so that I can hear His voice, but have become discouraged with the fact that the circumstances of my life do not allow for much of that. I had come to the conclusion just yesterday that I must learn to listen even in the chaos and noise of my daily life because I so need to hear from Him right now. Is that even possible? Am I doing something wrong that is causing me to be constantly surrounded by noise and distractions. I won't give up - I will constantly seek to hear His voice even in the midst of chaos. Thank you for your encouragement!
ReplyDeleteYou will be in my prayers as you continue to draw nearer to our LORD. Our enemy creates much distraction and busy work to keep up away from God. Holy Spirit, guide Debbie to the quiet places where she can rest and be refreshed and strengthened for the days ahead. LORD bless.
