A portion of a correspondence I received from a dear friend and brother in the LORD;

“It is amazing to me that the LORD, who is infinite in power, chooses to use human agency to accomplish His purposes in fulfilling His Word. Intercessors literally stand in the gap, and the Father has people interceding for us who may not even know us, but the Holy Spirit leads then to pray. Intercession is one of the most beautiful expressions of pure love - a selfless act that loves for the sake of love, expecting nothing in return, but which brings great glory to the Father.

When His people pray out of a pure heart, they are literally standing in the secret place before the throne of grace and heaven mobilizes as a result. When His people pray with pure hearts, He does not see them with their earthly bodies, but with the fullness of His Holy Spirit in them. He sees the completed, transformation by the Holy Spirit into the image of His Son, and to the glory of the Father. In other words -- He sees Christ, and wherever Christ is, there the Father is glorified.

God our Father doesn’t care so much about the volume of words in prayer, He cares about the heart and the faith with which we pray. He is not seated on His throne with an abacus counting our words. He is our great physician examining our hearts.

An army of intercessors - standing in the gap - angels are dispatched and hearts and lives are changed.”
