"The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness."  2 Thessalonians 2: 9-12

Twenty years of negotiations between Israel and the Vatican over property rights of more than 100 Roman Catholic Church properties in Jerusalem, the Galilee, and the West Bank appear to be coming to a head.

The Vatican is requesting Israel relinquish sovereignty of what it terms the “Holy Basin” - which included the Western Wall, the area of the Temple Mount, the Mount of Olives, Mount Zion and a number of Christian sites. It is recommended that these be administered under a “special regime”. The Vatican also lays claim to the so-called Upper Room where Pope John Paul II held Mass during his visit to Israel in 2000.

Pope Francis - head of the Vatican, leader of the RCC has called for the Roman Catholic Church to intensify its dialogue with Islam, echoing hopes in the Muslim world for better ties with the Vatican during his reign.

"...when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?" Luke 18:21

  1. Very interesting report Ali. This new 'Pope' is very popular isn't he? He's a bit out of the 'norm' for the RCC...very telling. Good post!

  3. The arrogance of the RCC to think THEY own ANYTHING in Israel. Interesting that the "Vicar of Christ" is parlaying with Muslims - I'm sure Jesus would approve ----- NOT!

  4. Those sites that the RCC is responsible for now in Israel are horrible. Statues everywhere, incense that almost makes one nauseous - to think they want more is sad.
