BAINBRIDGE, GA – Ms. Josephine King of Bainbridge, Georgia is no longer  welcome through the doors of the church where she has worshiped for over 50 years. The 92-year-old was recently given the stunning news in the form of a letter signed by her pastor.
Ignoring Ms. King' numerous health issues and inability to attend church, Senior Pastor Derrick Mike’s reason for excommunicating one of First African Baptist Church’s oldest members came down to her not dropping enough money into the offering plate on Sunday mornings.
“Josephine King is no longer considered a member of the First African Baptist Church of Bainbridge, Georgia."  The explanation given was that Ms. King “has shown non-support” towards the congregation in areas of“constant and consistent financial and physical participation.”  D.C. Clothesline.com
Come out of her and be yea separate seems to have been overlooked in the reading of The Word by this "pastor" as his actions seem much like the world of the twenty-first century.

  1. Reading about this place I decided it is just a cult.

    1. Guess there are baptist churches and then there are "baptist" churches. Getting more difficult to tell the sheep from the goats.

  2. where is scriptural support for this? Where does the Bible state we must become 'members' of any man-made denomination/non-denominational church? There are so many traps set by men concerning the 'do's and don'ts' of church. The early church did what with the money collected? Act 2:45 "And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need."
Some of today's celebrity preachers live like kings, drawing nearly a million a year {Franklin Graham is one such preacher} while many of the brethren are destitute. There is something terribly wrong within the visible 'church'. The true bride of Christ must and will function as the early believers did; never should we feel obligated to support a brick and mortar building and it's leadership. This is along the same lines as Roman Catholicism, fleecing the flock for financial gain. This poor woman is better off NOT to attend that church.
