President Barack Hussein Obama ordered flags to fly at half-staff at the White House and public buildings as the US mourned the death of "close friend" and anti-apartheid hero Nelson Mandela.
The Dallas Morning News likened Mandela to Moses and labeled him “the conscience of the world” and Peter Osborne, UK Telegraph’s chief political commentator wrote a piece entitled, “Few human beings can be compared to Jesus Christ. Nelson Mandela was one.”
