A song for the season, or have we missed something? I submit for your consideration, perhaps...

Read the words again, carefully - slowly.

"Joy To The World"
by Isaac Watts - 1719

Joy to the world! the Lord is come; Let earth receive her King; Let every heart prepare him room, And heaven and nature sing, And heaven and nature sing, And heaven, and heaven, and nature sing.

Joy to the world! the Saviour reigns; Let men their songs employ; While fields and floods, rocks, hills, and plains Repeat the sounding joy, Repeat the sounding joy, Repeat, repeat the sounding joy.

No more let sins and sorrows grow, Nor thorns infest the ground; He comes to make His blessings flow, Far as the curse is found, Far as the curse is found, Far as, far as, the curse is found.

He rules the world with truth and grace, And makes the nations prove, The glories of His righteousness, And wonders of His love, And wonders of His love, And wonders, wonders, of His love.

Did the things spoken of in this song happen when Jesus the Messiah was born as a babe and placed in a manger? Does He now rule the world with truth and grace? Are there still sins and sorrows, do thorns still infest the ground? Do the nations prove the glories of His righteousness and see the wonders of His love? Is our Saviour reigning or does satan still have dominion over this world?

If NOT - when will they.?.   perhaps...

Only when our LORD returns in the millennium. Only then will He rule in the hearts and minds of man. Only then will all the things spoken of in this song be fulfilled.

When you sing this song, or hear these words, look ahead and share the gospel with those who are lost,

...time is short.
