As American citizens the state of the union can become most disconcerting. Reading articles, frequenting blogs in order to get another perspective or opinion often bring with it distress and fear. Reading Internet news, watching Fox or MSNBC, listening to blog-talk radio often do not comfort but bring with each word of warning feelings of anxiety and fear. Reports of government takeover, loss of civil rights, deflation of the dollar, socialism, unemployment, the demise of the nation, global unrest and the rise of Islam leave many upset, troubled and overwhelmed by the magnitude of the problems.
We could join a Tea Party or write a letter to our congressman, We could run for political office or perhaps become president. We could picket, protest, pace, ponder or move to paradise - but as a Christian we are first called to pray and...
“Follow Me” said our LORD, “Follow Me.”
Our boat must not rest on troubled waters.
“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You: because he trusts in You“. Isaiah 26:3
Our LORD has promised peace to His people.
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14:27
"God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:19
We do not know when, we do not know how, but we do know difficult times are ahead. Signs of the times tell us to wake up and strengthen what remains. Flashing warning signs scream at us; "get your spiritual house in order." It is the responsibility of every blood soaked, blood bought born again child of God to pray and be about the Father' business.
“But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into.” Matthew 24:43
Follow Him.!!

The more I listen to the news of the world, the more I realize I must hang on tightly to Him - not allowing the cares of this world to entangle me bringing discouragement. America is under judgment, rain falls on the just and the unjust. We should not expect to escape, but prepare to stand as beacons of Light for our Saviour.
