Tuning in to MSNBC, Fox, CBS... surfing the internet points out the perilous times in which we live. 

"in the last days grievous times shall come.  For men shall be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, haughty, railers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,  without natural affection, implacable, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, no lovers of good,  traitors, headstrong, puffed up, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God; holding a form of godliness, but having denied the power..."

reads like today' headlines.

Man is consumed with self. Having denied the Power, man is ever learning but never able to come to the knowledge of the Truth. They have forsaken God, the fountain of living waters, and hewed out cisterns for themselves, broken cisterns that can hold no water.

We His people, called by His Name, must humble ourselves before our Righteous and Holy God. We must repent of the sins that have so easily beset us and seek His help through prayer and the study of His Word. Our prayer must be:  "LORD, radically transform 'me' so that 'I' may radically conform to Your Image."  

Then and only then will we be effective for His Kingdom.

There is no other way.

    You are so right Ali; I read a story on-line earlier of 2 pre-school children engaged in a sexual act at school. Where do pre-school children get this at? Many would say it's just kids experimenting, but the act the little girl was performing on the little boy was one that shocked me and caused me to wonder how she would even think of doing this.

    As the article warns, be prepared to face jail, to be betrayed, but most importantly of all... be prepared to for eternity.

    Lyn - I had not read about the children. How grievious to my heart to think how satan has stolen our little ones and few seem to notice.

    I heartily agree that we must be prepared to suffer as those suffer in China, Iran, Egypt....Americans are NOT exempt.!!.

    His word is clear, if they persecuted Him they will persecute us as well.
