Hundreds of teenagers storm Walmart in a criminal flash mob. A Jacksonville, Florida party went a bit too wild after hundreds of teenagers relocated their shindig to a local Walmart store and went on a rampage, all the while videotaping their outrageous escapades.

A masked gunman killed 12 people and wounded 50 others at a midnight showing of the new Batman movie in a suburb of Denver  when he hurled a gas canister into the auditorium and opened fire on moviegoers.

Seven Israeli youth on a tour of Bulgaria are murdered, others wounded as their bus leaves the airport in Bulgaria.

On and on it goes. WHEN will we realize we have traded peace for prosperity, truth for tolerance, G-d for the good life and eternity for ecumenicalism.

"... in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power... 2 Timothy 3

And where is the church in all this.?.

...having a form of godliness but denying its power...

Wake up Church - WAKE UP.!!!.

"Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering,  for He who promised is faithful." Hebrews 10:23

  1. Don't forget the drought across much of America which will essentially drive food prices through the roof. Plus the ever-looming economic collapse. I have a couple of co-workers who express the mentality of most Americans, they claim when everything falls apart {like it isn't already} they are going to 'shoot up' people, it's a 'survival of the fittest' type mentality. How tragic is this; they have no hope beyond the temporal things of this world. People are unloving, self-centered, and care nothing for others. As I pondered their comments, I thought of the words of our Lord, from Mat_10:28 "Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." This world fears itself, so it will arm itself to the teeth and start shooting others, but the odds of survival this way are not good. This also brought to mind Revelation 6:4, " And another, a red horse, went out; and to him who sat on it, it was granted to take peace from the earth, and that men would slay one another; and a great sword was given to him."

Good post sister; I pray all is well with you and your family.

  2. Great comment - I see the murders as a consequence of our sin, the drought, a punishment for our sin as G-d is withholding His blessings. The church, called to be a light in the darkness - has extinguished its flame and now embraces the darkness along with the rest of the world. One can scarcely distinguish between the two.

Our daughter continues to fight cancer, your prayers for her in this ongoing battle much appreciated.

  3. I am in total agreement with you, we may very well have reached the point of no return; either God will send revival, or more severe judgment will be unleashed.
As for the church, you are correct there as well. There are so many Christians who are way too involved in temporal things, they have no desire to go deeper into the things of God. His attributes are not taught, there is no fear of Him, there is no reverence and awe of Him; most go to church with more of a social view or to get emotionally charged, they do not even understand what it means to truly worship God with your mind, your heart, your soul. But, if one doesn't comprehend the attributes of God, how can they worship Him?

I will continue to pray for your daughter, and for you sister. Our Lord is merciful, He sends difficulty and trials to help refine us. I find this piece very encouraging when I pass through the 'Refiner's fire', I hope it will bless you this day http://stevenjcamp.blogspot.com/2007/04/refiners-fire-place-of-purifying-until.html
