The website of Congregation Shema Yisrael says this in an article -
"Jesus warned several times about end time deception saying;
'See to it that no one misleads you. For many will come in My name saying, I am the Messiah, and will mislead many'" ... "Many false prophets will arise, and will mislead many"... "For false Messiahs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders; so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect." Matthew 24:4-5, 11, 24
Rabbi Shaul, the Apostle Paul, assures us that the Last Days will be characterized by apostasy, not revival. We are not to be deceived into thinking that the apostasy won't come; it must come first, or Messiah simply will not return! Therefore the teaching that there will be a world wide revival in the Last Days, however well intentioned, is biblically untenable. Paul's prediction can only mean that in the Last Days many professing believers will reject the biblical teaching that apostasy is inevitable."
We are warned of the deception that is coming, a deception difficult to discern. Many who truly love the LORD have believed a lie that masqueraded as truth and are now, unaware, walking in deception.
Matthew 26:41, Mark 14:38, Luke 22:46, Luke 22:40 - all admonitions from our LORD tell us to:
"Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation." Get up and pray so that you will not fall into temptation."
In Mark 11:18 we are told: "...the chief priest and scribes heard this, [Mark 11:17], and began seeking how to destroy Him [Jesus] for they were afraid of Him..."
Mark 11:17 quotes the Words of Jesus: "MY HOUSE SHALL BE CALLED A HOUSE OF PRAYER FOR ALL NATIONS, BUT YOU HAVE MADE IT A ROBBERS DEN."
What has been stolen from the HOUSE OF PRAYER: faith, hope, joy, BUT most importantly - truth
Wake up and strengthen the things that remain, which are about to die; for I have not found your deeds complete in the sight of my God." Revelation 3:2
