“The Lord will go before you; and the God of Israel will be your reward.” Isaiah 52:12
Suggested Further Reading: Ezra 8:21-23 and 31-32
We shall soon launch into another year, and hitherto we have found our years to be years of trouble. We have had mercies, but still we find this house of our pilgrimage is not an abiding city, not a mansion of peace and comfort. Perhaps we are trembling to go forward. Foreseeing trouble, we know not how we shall be able to endure to the end. We are standing here and pausing for a while, sitting down upon the stone of our Ebenezer to rest ourselves, gazing dubiously into the future, saying, “Alas! What shall I do? Surely, I shall one day fall by the hand of the enemy.” Brother, arise, arise; anoint your head, and wash your face, and fast no longer; let this sweet morsel now cheer you; put this cup to your lips, and let your eyes be enlightened: “The Lord Jehovah will go before you.” He has gone before you already. Your future path has all been marked out in the great decrees of his predestination. You shall not tread a step which is not mapped out in the great chart of God’s decree. Your troubles have been already weighed for you in the scales of his love; your labour is already set aside for you to accomplish by the hand of his wisdom. Depend upon it, your:-
“Times of trial and of grief,
Times of triumph and relief,
All shall come and last and end
As shall please your heavenly Friend.”

Remember, you are not a child of chance. If you were, you might indeed fear. You will go nowhere next year except where God shall send you.
For meditation: Fear of the future and fear of the unknown still have to be faced by the believer. But the Christian has the remedy to such fear—a great God who knows the future and who leads the way (Acts 20:22-24; Hebrews 11:8-10).

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.’ Hebrews 9:27–28
Suggested Further Reading: Philippians 2:5–11
In the prophecy of his coming the first and the second time there was disparity as well as correspondence. It is true in both cases he will come attended by angels, and the song shall be, ‘Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, good will toward men.’ It is true in both cases, shepherds who keep watch over their flocks even by night shall be among the first to hail him with their sleepless eyes—blessed shepherds who watch Christ’s folds and therefore shall see the Great Shepherd when he comes. Still, how different, I say, will be his coming. At first he came an infant; now he shall come—‘In rainbow-wreath and clouds of storm’, the glorious One. Then he entered into a manger, now he shall ascend his throne. Then he appeared the infant, now the infinite. Then he was born to trouble as the sparks fly upward, now he comes to glory as the lightning from one end of heaven to the other. A stable received him then; now the high arches of earth and heaven shall be too little for him. Horned oxen were then his companions, but now the chariots of God which are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels, shall be at his right hand. Then in poverty his parents were glad to receive the offerings of gold and frankincense and myrrh; but now in splendour, King of kings, and Lord of lords, all nations shall bow before him, and kings and princes shall pay homage at his feet. Still he shall need nothing at their hands.
For meditation: At his first coming the Lord Jesus Christ ‘descended first into the lower parts of the earth’ and finished by ‘ascending up far above all heavens’ (Ephesians 4:9–10). No one has ever descended lower; no one can ever ascend higher. His heavenly glory was interrupted by his first coming, but will be extended and acknowledged throughout the new creation at his second coming (Philippians 2:7–11).

As the curtain closes on 2019 and 2020 begins to peek over the horizon, I ask Holy Spirit what was ahead for our nation and around the world...

Times that will try man' soul is upon you. Great upheaval, days of anguish, worry and woe; and you are unprepared. The government will continue to bicker; brawling, badgering one another relentlessly. I have given ample warnings. I have given time to get your house in order, to prepare, to proclaim but you were uninterested, too busy, too lost amid the tangles of the world to spend time with Me. You have not listened to Me, declares the LORD, you hate discipline, you cast My words behind you in order that you might provoke Me to anger with the work of your hands to your own harm.

Times of testing, trials and temptation will fill hearts and minds with fear. But My children, will hear My voice and obey. My children will grow in strength as they stand against the onslaught of rebellion, evil and fear. Caught amid the crushing fear God, and give Him glory, because the hour of His judgment has come; worship Him who made the heaven and the earth and sea and springs of waters. My children will shine as diamonds amid the grit the grime the decay that surrounds.

For children of The King in the year 2020-- Do not fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.

For others; Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand-- you have been warned.

Word received a few days ago, I have chosen to post the word without comment or commentary...

"there is coming an onslaught of evil. My child, you are not prepared."  I ask how I could prepare? Holy Spirit said I was to read His word, study His word, pray and seek His face. I ask how could I seek His face?  "See Me in scripture, see My righteousness, My holiness, My sanctification, My provision for those that are Mine. See Me in The Word and you will see Me.

Explosions, disaster, confusion, the shattering of the nation."

Your eyes see what they want to see, truth is illusive; slipping through your fingers. I have repeatedly called yet you continue to follow other voices while ignoring the one true voice of the Living God. I have a few sheep that listen, that hear My voice; but the proud, the profane, the boastfully arrogant; those who refuse to hear, those who refuse to believe will soon fall prey to the diabolical forces of evil that rule this nation. Roots of bitterness, anger, resentment run deep within America. Great chasms of hatred, evil and perversion have left a scar upon the nation, a scar that will not be easily healed. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? He who conceals his sin will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes his sin will find compassion, forgiveness, grace, mercy and love through JESUS Christ the LORD.

Your nation has squandered its inheritance on witchcraft and harlotry; chasing dreams; refusing to cast down vain imaginations your sin continues to mount. Rejecting the good you embraced wickedness; idolizing the proud, mimicking the morons, demeaning the lowly you sit content, covered by the stain of your sin. You have done these things, and I kept silent; you thought I was just like you. But I Myself will rebuke you and accuse you to your face. Now consider this, you who forget God, lest I tear you to pieces, with no one to rescue you...

Thus says the LORD; "Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart turns away from the LORD. He is like a shrub in the desert, and shall not see any good come. He shall dwell in the parched places of the wilderness, in an uninhabited salt land. But...Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose trust is in the LORD. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.

Hear this well America...The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately sick; who can understand it? I the LORD search the heart and test the mind, to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds. Like the partridge that gathers a brood that she did not hatch so is he who gets riches but not by justice; in the midst of his days, they will leave him, and at his end he will be a fool."

Foolish or faithful....which will it be?

Nations rage, kingdoms of darkness rule, they reign, the coming of the LORD is imminent, but where is the man, the women of God? Where are the voices of reason, the rational voices, the voices of truth? Where are the men and women of God that will take a stand in the midst of the darkness and say, "No more."

Listening but never learning...hearing but never heeding as nations rage and the reign of terror continues. By the Word of Truth, by the power of God, by the armour of Righteousness on the right hand and on the left the enemy will be defeated....but the church ignores righteousness as it builds monuments to the greatness and goodness of man. Man ignores Truth as he spews forth tolerance, unity and diversity. We have authority over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, yet the church of the 21st century has chosen to lay down their authority that it might achieve solidarity and acceptance. Is not My Word like fire, declares the LORD, and like a hammer that smashes a rock but man' voices are silent, their eyes dim, refusing to see, ignoring Holy Spirit they stand condemned before God.

Your days of liberal theology, of distorted truth is coming to an end;  for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned. Man awaits the coming of the LORD in eager expectation of relief, escaping the darkness as he sits content, excited, anxiously awaiting the day. Never giving thought to the raging of the seas around him, never contending for the faith, never sounding the alarm, never bowing in prayer humbling himself before God. Man sits condemned for he has chosen to ignore his calling, to worship and glorify God, that he might escape the wrath that is to come.

You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation. A people for God' own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light...when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on earth, or will folly and foolhardiness have overtaken the faithful?

For unto us is born a Saviour who is JESUS Christ the LORD.

Few recognized the King, born in a stable; unnoticed by nobility, shunned by the clergy...but president, pastor, watchman, warrior, teacher, preacher or king....all will soon bow before Him acknowledging Him as King of kings and LORD of lords. The time of our departure is approaching, we have little time to waste in frivolity; nit picking, semantics or drama have no place in the lives of men and women of God. Your hands remain stained with blood, daylight is fading and the shadows of evening grow long. Your hearts are self-gratifying and proud, rebellion rules, greed follows rebellion and man dies a little every day.

Tickling ears and tarnished hearts describe our current culture. Gravitating to the sensational, the thrilling, awaiting the next big attraction we have become lazy, desensitized, ill equipped for battle. Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith, test yourself. The 7th seal will usher in the establishment of His glorious Millennial Kingdom. Are you ready?

2,000 years ago our Lord Jesus came to us as the Suffering Servant. He came as the Bridegroom for His bride; bringing His dowry, His gift, His offer of redemption and hope, grace and mercy. His return will be quite different. He will return as Conquering King, Lion of the Tribe of Judah, Creator of the Universe and a holy righteous Judge. Our LORD, the long awaited Messiah will return to this earth - Jesus the Christ/Yeshua haMashiach will bring closure to the unholy history of this age.

As we await the return of our King JESUS, let us walk in integrity, in faith without wavering, without fear, doubt or compromise. The battle will be fierce but the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. Be strong in the LORD and in the strength of His might.

Are you holy or hollow? Is your walk of faith fruitful or faltering? When was the last time you bowed low before Jehovah God confessing your sins, crying out in anguish and shame as you realize how far you have drifted from biblical Christianity? How often do you stop and thank God for His promises, His provision, His protection; or do you feel "lucky" or a victim of circumstance? When was the last time you...

Thanksgiving has passed, Christmas rush is in full swing... the latest gadget, the newest toy, holiday shopping; weary and tired, cross and cranky...the reason for the season lost among the hustle and bustle, buried beneath tinsel, wrapping paper and twine. But for millions the reason for the season is the latest gadget, the newest toy, the shopping, the show the hype. The hoopla is Christmas; and JESUS...an afterthought, if He is thought about at all.

Candle light services and holiday cheer all too often reflect man' love of self-- his commitment to religion but not righteousness. The church has rejected Truth to preach, teach and exemplify a worldly religion. The church that rejects biblical teaching has nothing to stand on. If some biblical writings are questionable, according to many, then the entire scripture must be cast aside as a fake, a phony, a lie. We laugh, we sing, we enjoy time with family and friends, satisfied but not surrendered, sanctimonious but not sanctified. January arrives and we awaken the same lost sinner; running scared, out of control as our moral compass continues to spin.

The times that try men' souls has come upon us. Our world teeters on the brink of self-destruction. See the carnage, hear the cries of the lost as nations continue to reject God while embracing all that the world, the flesh and the devil offer. Example: a Christian pastor has received death threats, been harassed, threatened and forced to resign his job at a local primary school after saying he believes gay pride events are harmful, (I call gay pride events evil, they are unholy, ungodly and amoral. Homosexuality/an LGBTQ lifestyle choice is a sin). The pastor also suggested Christians should refrain from taking part in gay pride events as they do not align with biblical teaching. Expressing his concerns, he said; "they promote a culture and encourage activities that are contrary to Christian faith and morals, they are especially 'harmful to children."' It is not the man, it is JESUS within the man that the ungodly hate and attempt to silence.

The word 'sin' has virtually disappeared from modern conversation. Afraid of sounding judgmental, evangelical christian organizations and denominations are openly accepting of the LGBTQ lifestyle. Embracing a false gospel, sin is no longer sin, it' a mistake, an addiction, a tendency, a bad decision, all too often ignored, accepted as normal, 'natural' behavior. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our LORD JESUS Christ. Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways submit to Him and He will make your paths straight.

JESUS Christ, Immanuel-- God with us, The Redeemer of mankind, The Lamb slain from the foundation of the world will return: as Judge, warrior King, The Lion of the tribe of Judah to destroy the works of the devil. What then will become of the latest gadget, your newest toy? Time is running out,  all flesh is grass, and all its loveliness is like the flower of the field. The grass withers, the flowers fade because the breath of the LORD blows upon it; surely the people are grass. The grass withers, the flower fades but the Word of the LORD stands forever. We are a people who live on the fringe of righteousness, doing the least that we can to remain in the good graces of the secular church; unity at all costs, following a worldly Jesus...religious but not righteous, satisfied but not sanctified and sadly content, comfortable in our relationship with God as we make allowances for the  unabashed sin within the church, the government and within our homes. For He is LORD of lords and King of kings; and they that are with Him are called, and chosen and faithful.

This Christmas season make it right.....Christ is LORD of all or He is not LORD at all.

And he said unto them, take nothing for your journey, neither staves, not scrip, neither bread, neither money; neither have two coats apiece. Luke 9:3
Not so for today' evangelist, pastor or preacher. Today it means a mansion, a Learjet, or two, thousand dollar sneakers and a Rolex watch. Paying for the privilege to see the "man of god"-- to be entertained, calling it church millions bow down before 'worldly pomp and temporal greatness' while the church suffers loss and man remains unchanged, his broken pieces intact.

"These are some of the reasons why the church has lost spiritual power and stands impotent in the presence of sickness and suffering. To hide her feebleness and inefficiency, she takes refuge under the discreditable subterfuge that the gifts of healing have been withdrawn and the age of miracles is past" (or ignored completely as they tout self-help seminars and sell books teaching 'how to be a better you'.) "No wonder infidelity is eating the heart out of the church of God! Has Jehovah-Rophi, the eternal covenant God, changed? Or, is the modern disciple of a different stamp and pattern than they whom Jesus called in the days of His flesh? Truly, the change is in the disciple and not in the one unchangeable LORD and Master. I find that the old-time power is to be had today by the old-time men who are willing to walk and work and suffer and die to get this gospel of Christ to people everywhere." John G. Lake - October 1910

The church has forsaken God; leaning on the world, the flesh and yes the devil...she changes  fountains of living waters for broken cisterns that can hold no water. Let us honestly acknowledge our sin and with a broken heart return to the LORD our God. Man in his sin will never change; continuing to serve the kingdoms of darkness his struggle to find the light apart from JESUS Christ remains an exercise in futility-- whether in 1910 or 2019.  All things are wearisome, more than one can describe; the eye is not satisfied with seeing nor the ear content with hearing. What has been is what will be, and what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun. Is there a case where one can say, "Look, this is new?" It has already existed in the ages before us....(The Book of Ecclesiastes)
